Qigong / Chi Kung
Qigong/Yiquan

This class consists of simple yet powerful health building Qigong sets (gentle movements which stretch the body and promote the balanced flow of qi ), Yiquan for health, and self help acupressure. Qigong is the art of building, balancing, and refining your energy and awareness. "Qi or chi" means energy and "gong" means any skill developed through dedicated practice. There are thousands of forms of Qigong that  may focus on health, martial power, inner alchemy, spirituality and ethical development or can be a synthesis of these.
A nice overview of Qigong which includes some medical benefits of practice can be found here.

Yiquan is initially comprised of standing meditation postures which combine deep mindbody relaxation, expansion of awareness, and the training of intention (see Yiquan page). Qigong and Yiquan are easier to learn in terms of movement than Taijiquan.
